We live and work in Ferryside and love it here, so we feel well qualified to say that it’s a very special place to visit with lots to see and do. It is ideally situated to explore the area by foot, car or train. There are walks along the coast and inland, taking in the villages of Llansaint and Llandefelog, an ideal stop for a pub lunch. The train can take you to Tenby in an hour or The Heart of Wales line offers a treat of a journey to Shrewsbury and back. The castles of Dynevor, Carreg Cennin, Dryslwyn can be explored in the Towy Valley, as well as those of Laugharne and Llanstephan whilst the national and local museums, the gardens of Aberglasney, the National Botanic Garden of Wales and the National Wetland Centre at Llanelli, the Gwili railway and pottery are all great places to visit as part of a day out. “What a truly wonderful holiday we’ve had at Gothic Villa. It’s a perfect base for exploring the delights of Wales. The children especially loved the beach, building sandcastles and rock pooling, and we all loved the local fish and chip cafe. Gothic Villa is so well equipped that it really has been a home from home. We’ll be back.” Davies family – Boncath, Pembrokeshire
